The seventh edition of the Belchite de Película short film competition concluded successfully at the awards gala held last Saturday, July 20th. The event brought together around 160 participants, organized into 20 teams from various regions across Spain.

Laura Blossom, co-star of «Recalculando Ruta» alongside actor Fernando Bernués, received the Best Actress Award. This short film, directed and written by Laura Arnaiz, tells the story of a couple who get lost while searching for the Pueblo Viejo de Belchite.

The challenge of the contest lies in the fact that all the short films must be completed within a maximum of 24 hours, and all scenes must be filmed in the town of Belchite (Zaragoza). 

The festival organization, led by its director José Ramón Mañeru, expressed its gratitude to all the participating teams.

Furthermore, outside of the competition, acclaimed actress Mercedes Sampietro was honored with the Belchite de Película Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her over 50 years in the industry. 

The team of «Recalculando Ruta» celebrated their success at the festival after a long night of work. The Best Female Performance Award was the result of the collective effort of everyone involved in the project.
